Do you have trouble sending emails?
Are your outgoing emails marked as spam?
Legitimate email senders are constantly being challenged as they must continually allocate resources and effort in order to maintain high delivery rates. Even after maintaining best practices for both email content and opt-in lists, delivery problems can still arise. Email delivery problems include delivery to the spam folder instead of your inbox, having all your emails temporarily blocked at the ISP (Internet Service Provider) servers or being outright blacklisted for current and future email deliveries.
Solve your outbound email problems for good. Resilient Business Systems’ Smarthost gives you a secure and trusted means of sending and relaying your emails regardless of where you are or which ISP you are using.
There are usually a number of checks that every Mail Exchange server performs before accepting an email, and these are as follows;
1. Checks that the email IP address of the sender is not on the open relay blacklist (i.e. you are a known spammer)
2. Checks that the email IP address is in their own list of IP’s to block
3. Performs a reverse DNS lookup on your IP to check if it corresponds to your domain
If you currently send your emails through your ISP (Internet Service Provider), steps 1 & 2 above will pass, however, step 3 could fail if the receiver’s security settings are set too high, as this lookup will bring back the ISP’s details and not yours. In which case, your email will be sent back with what is known as a NDR (Non Delivery Report). Resilient Business Systems’ Smarthost solution is a trusted internet relay that, when the receiver’s exchange server performs a reverse lookup, returns the IP address of the Smarthost and therefore the receiver’s exchange server accepts the email.
