Looking to migrate your existing mail system to Microsoft Office365 then Resilient Business Systems can help you. Below is a case study showcasing a successful migration carried out by Resilient Systems recently. If you are interest in moving to Office365 and would like some further information, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
Mr Terry Nall, Managing Director of N2 Limited, approached Resilient Systems as they were suffering from a number of issues with their email, including emails bouncing back from customers, excessive SPAM and a server hard disk failure which resulted in a loss of Exchange for 3 days. “We had been using Microsoft Exchange for many years but we were starting to experience several problems which affected our ability to run our business smoothly.” Terry recalled “Last year our aging server failed with a damaged disk and we were without emails for nearly two days, not only that, all of our customer and supplier contact details were held in Microsoft Exchange so we were unable to even phone our customers to let them know our email was down. It is only after a disaster like this that you realise that you can’t run a business without your email.” Resilient Systems considered all the available options and decided that migration to Office365 would provide N2 with the solution to all their problems. The main benefit of Office365 is that it lives in the Cloud, meaning you have access to Word, Excel, Outlook and other Office tools from anywhere with web access and on virtually any device. With the annual subscription you also receive updates to the software, when and if available, direct from Microsoft. Terry was happy to note “With the help of Resilient Systems we moved to the Cloud seamlessly and without our users even noticing. The amount of Spam emails we now received has reduced by 97%, we have easy access to webmail when you are working out of the office and on out mobile devices. We also have the security that we are no longer at the mercy of our aging server and we have continuity of access to our emails and contacts.”
N2 have now been using Office365 since June 2014 and Terry and his staff were asked to provide feedback on this and the main positives were that spam is now stopped before being received into user’s mailbox, ensuring they never have to worry about reaching any limits, Office365 is extremely reliable – they have never had any downtime, setup on smart devices is a lot easier and syncing is automatic, the Global Address List means that if a user add’s a contact, everyone can immediately see this contact. This feature was especially useful to N2 as they now use it as a central database, removing the necessity for any separate software, thus reducing costs and finally, and most importantly, because of the seamless transition the end user does not really see any difference but the knowledge that the reliability of Office365 is there is reassuring.
