Resilient Business System was formed in April 2005. We are a Darlington based IT company and we work with companies right across the UK.

Our aim is to work as your trusted partner when it comes to your IT. We have a wealth of experience across a range of sectors. We know we have done our job if you go about your day-to-day and the IT just works.

We are here to remove barriers, improve workflows and protect data with the latest solutions and industry standards. From implementing WIFI networks to cyber security accreditation. We provide hardware, software, cyber security, and business support services.

We are situated in Business Central Darlington and work with a range of incredible organisations from sole traders to large organisations. We are here to provide support when it comes to your IT systems.

Darlington is an incredible town with an incredible history and we are proud to call Darlington our home. With fantastic transport links we have delivered projects right across the UK.

Meet the Team

Michelle Read

I have worked for Resilient Business Systems since Andy and I set the business up back in 2005 with my job varying as the company evolved. My main role within Resilient Systems is as the Office Manager, which includes the unenviable task of doing the accounts, payroll and dealing with any HR/Health & Safety issues.

When not working for Resilient, I am an avid cook and I love to read.

Andrew Read

I started Resilient Business Systems with my wife Michelle in April 2005 after people told me they liked the way I managed to resolve their IT issues without confusing them with jargon. I simply told them what they needed, sourced it for them, set it up and trained them on it.  I therefore thought this different approach to IT, removing the barriers and making IT work for the end user and not the other way round, was a solid business idea – and Resilient Business Systems was born.

In my spare time I play computer games (as if I don’t spend enough time with my fingers glued to my keyboard!) and enjoy a wee dram or two of single malt whisky.

Eddie McGee

I have been a team member of Resilient Business Systems since 2007 with experience in IT as far back to the early 80’s (I know I don’t look old enough). I come from a management background and have a methodical approach to issues which really helps in diagnosing and fault finding. Each day is different and I always get that ‘buzz’ of doing what I love doing…… helping clients grow their business through IT and making it work.

In my spare time I love kicking a football around with my daughter, flying my RC Helicopters and following the sport. I do of course like to celebrate the weekend with the odd glass of wine.

Daniel Read

I joined Resilient Business Systems at the start of 2023 with over 10 years in the IT industry and have built a growing interest and skill set in everything from management and monitoring software, physical and virtual networks to building computers/servers from the ground up. There is no better feeling than finally getting to the bottom of a finicky issue, and this drives me day to day.

My spare time is mostly consisted of staring at more screens, be it gaming, drawing or reading.
